“It is a great day, and I would like to thank negotiating teams on both sides for working diligently to reach this new agreement,” said Steeves. “This agreement addresses some important concerns such as recruitment, retention and instructional time, as well as wage adjustments.”
The agreement includes wage increases of 15 per cent over five years, retroactive to 2021, with semi-annual increases in both 2024 and 2025. Additionally, the entry wage and the maximum salary have been increased.
